AO2924-003 2018's Air Max 270 was a logical progression in visible cushioning technology. After dominating the sportswear field throughout the year, both wizened fans and newcomers wondered how Nike could possibly further the line. Their solution is simple: make the unit even bigger - and form the entire sole from it. With the heel now a whole 6mm taller at 38mm, this is the tallest Air unit ever - though the Swoosh could go even beyond that in years to come. With an ecological design ethos, recycled material comprises 75% of the Air unit.
